Why a Clean Box Is Not Just About Smell
Cats are extremely particular about where they go. A box that is even slightly dirtier than they like is enough for some cats to start looking for a better option, and that better option is usually a rug, a laundry pile, or a corner of the basement.
Once a cat starts going outside the box, the habit is hard to break. The smell soaks into carpet and subfloor, the cat keeps returning to the same spot, and you end up fighting a problem that started with a chore nobody got around to.
There is a health angle too. Litter box changes are often the first visible sign of a urinary blockage, a kidney problem, diabetes, or stress. In male cats especially, a urinary blockage can become an emergency in a matter of hours. Somebody looking at that box daily is a real early warning system.

No. Plenty of our scooping clients are home. They just would rather not do it. Others travel for work, have mobility issues, or are pregnant and following their doctor advice about litter.
How often should a litter box be scooped?
Once a day is the standard recommendation, and twice a day is better in a multi-cat home. Cats are particular about a clean box, and a dirty one is one of the most common reasons a cat starts going somewhere else.
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on how many days a week you want us. It starts at $30 per visit for once a week, and the per-visit price goes down as you add days. Our cat care pricing page has the full grid.
Do you do a full litter change too?
Yes. Scooping handles the daily waste, but litter still needs to be fully dumped, the box washed, and fresh litter added periodically. Tell us how often you want that done and we will build it into the schedule.
What do you do with the waste?
It gets bagged and taken to your outdoor trash so it is not sitting inside your home. We do not leave a bag by the box.
What if my cat is not using the box?
We will tell you. Changes in litter box habits are one of the earliest signs of a urinary problem, a kidney issue, or stress. Because we are looking at the box every visit, we notice patterns that are easy to miss.
Do you bring your own supplies?
We use your scoop and your litter, since cats are sensitive to changes in litter type and we do not want to introduce anything new. Just let us know where you keep it.
Can you add this to cat sitting?
Litter care is already included in every cat sitting visit at no extra charge. This standalone service is for cat owners who are home but want the box handled year round.
