Why This Builds Trust for When You Travel

Dogs who regularly play together in our backyard sessions form genuine friendships, not just with each other, but with their caregiver. When vacation time comes, your dog already associates this person with fun, excitement, and positive experiences.

This emotional connection transforms pet sitting from "tolerating a stranger" into "getting excited for playtime." Your dog's tail starts wagging the moment they see their familiar playmate arrive, making transitions smooth and stress-free for everyone involved.

"Our golden retriever Buddy goes to backyard play twice a week. When we travel, he actually gets excited when Bill arrives. He knows it means fun time with his friends. Zero separation anxiety."

Frequently Asked Questions

How long are backyard play sessions?

We offer two options: Standard sessions (20-30 minutes) for typical playtime needs, or Extended sessions (45-60 minutes) for high-energy dogs who need more exercise. During your meet & greet, we'll help you determine which duration works best for your dog.

What type of fence do I need?

Either physical fences or operational invisible fence systems are acceptable. During the meet & greet, we'll assess your property to ensure it's secure and suitable for supervised play sessions.

Can I have multiple dogs in the session?

Absolutely! Multiple dogs from the same household are welcome during backyard play sessions. It's a great way for them to play together while you're at work or busy at home.

How is this different from a regular walk?

Backyard play is perfect for dogs who prefer familiar spaces, can't walk due to injury or age, or need high-energy play without leaving home. It's also great in bad weather—no muddy paws or wet fur!

Do you stay with my dog the entire time?

Yes! Our team member supervises the entire play session, engages with your dog(s), and ensures they're safe and having fun. You'll receive photos and updates via the Time to Pet app after each visit.

What happens in bad weather?

We play in light rain (dogs love it!), but cancel for severe weather, extreme heat, or dangerous conditions. You'll receive advance notice and can reschedule or switch to an indoor visit or individual walk instead.
